Mindfulness Training

Mindfulness Training

Deepen your classes with meditation and mindfulness.

Reading time: 2 minutes

As a yoga teacher, you may well be leading meditations in your classes but wondering: am I doing it right?

You may also know a little about the benefits of mindfulness and have considered how you can incorporate this into your classes.

A mindfulness teacher training takes, on average, a year to complete, however leading mindfulness provider Breathworks has created an accessible and flexible Mindfulness Facilitator Training that is ideal for yoga teachers looking to enrich their teaching.

If you are looking to add another string to your bow or bring more mindful wisdom and philosophy to your classes, then this training is for you.

On the Mindfulness Facilitator Training you will learn the foundations of mindfulness and how to:

  • Teach an array of transformative meditations
  • Communicate mindfulness concepts in your teaching
  • Guide various mindfulness practices for memorable workshops and retreats
  • Embody mindfulness in your teaching and your daily life

At the end of the training, you will receive a Mindfulness Facilitator Training Certification (worth 41 hours of training).

The training consists of two modules (7 and 4 weeks long) which include:

  • Live group sessions
  • Self-study
  • Support and feedback from an experienced trainer
  • Experience facilitating mindfulness sessions in a supportive environment
  • Lifetime access to learning resources, meditations and videos

I’ve found that bringing mindfulness into my own yoga classes has helped me to elevate my teaching. I feel more confident leading meditations and giving mindful cues to help students create a deeper connection with their practice. I now have a toolkit of practices and themes I can get creative with for class ideas, workshops and retreats. Students tell me they leave my classes feeling more calm, present and grounded.

Prices start at £950, with concessionary and bursary rates available. Find out more and join the Breathworks next Virtual Open Day at: breathworks-mindfulness.org.uk/become-a-mindfulness-facilitator
