Chris Livanos is a vinyasa instructor (ERYT-200) and a professor of South Asian Literature. He lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife Michelle, their dog Rosie Mae and their guinea pig Lenny.
Chris Livanos is a yoga instructor (ERYT-200, YACEP) and a professor in the Center for South Asia at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he teaches classes on subjects including Bhakti poetry, comparative religion, and Indian heroic poetry. He received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Harvard University and is proficient in Sanskrit. He teaches weekly public yoga classes and also offers asana workshops inspired by mythology and teacher training modules on Sanskrit and Yoga Philosophy. Chris is fluent in Spanish and is committed to bringing yoga to a broader audience.
