The photo shows international yoga teacher, Sarah Highfield, founder of Yogagise Yoga (yogagise.com), in Emirates Hills, Dubai, UAE. “My 12-year-old nephew, George, took this photo when we were walking around the neighbourhood,” she tells OM. “It was definitely a stop, drop and yoga moment!” But it also contains an important message, in terms of embedding micro-yoga moments into our daily lives — a habit we can all adopt. “On days when I don’t have time to do a full yoga session, I’ll try to incorporate little bits of yoga into whatever else I’m doing. It can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths, doing a yoga pose to stretch out, or even a sun salutation or two. After all, a few minutes of yoga is better than no yoga, and those few minutes can make all the difference to how I feel throughout the day.”
