Ray of sunshine

Now winter is upon us, with its long, dark evenings, I am thankful your magazine is there to keep our spirits up — even when the cold is getting us down. It’s the best way to feel that connection with the wider yoga community, despite being indoors or huddled under a blanket. One song I play this time of year is The Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun; it’s got a cheery, hopefulness about it that’s not dissimilar to OM…so I thought I’d now refer to it as: Here cOMes the sun!

Yoga wins

How lovely to see all your award winners in the December issue. I wasn’t able to attend the OM Yoga Show in London to see the presentation ceremony, unfortunately, so it was good to see what happened and see all the faces behind the brands. Of course yoga is not competitive, but still it is nice to see excellence recognised and credit given where it’s due. To all of the winners — and also those who didn’t pick up an award — I say: well done. Yoga is the real winner.

Keep it Real

I’ve just signed up to your magazine as this year will be a big one for me: I am finally going to take up a place on a teacher training course. I have been practicing for over three years now and feel ready, though still daunted, by the path ahead. I know I’ll be doing lots of other reading (anatomy and academic texts etc.) but OM always helps to keep it real…so I’m relying on you guys to give me some perspective when the going gets tough!
