Sensory healing

I enjoyed your section last month on how yoga impacts our senses (issue 105, February 2020). I had a little think about this and I believe this is exactly why yoga (and also meditation) is so powerful. It is the opportunity to stop, to pause, and to really tune in to what is going on both within you and around you. We are most likely all guilty of letting whole days (and probably weeks, months and even years) slip by unnoticed, but a regular yoga practice can bring just the right break, or pause, to re-tune our senses back into those things that really matter: from the smell of a rose flower to the sweet sounds of the music we love.

Who dares wins

Thanks for printing  the story in OMFM about the guys from SAS Who Dares Wins, Ollie Ollerton and Jason Fox (issue 105, February 2020). Both of these men are very cool (if you haven’t read their autobiographies yet they’re truly eye opening!) and it’s great to know that they share an interest in things like mindfulness, meditation and yoga.
Truly inspiring people.

Community spirit

Found OM
magazine recently at a nearby studio. I’ve only just started yoga but it’s so great to know there are so many like-minded people out there.  It makes me feel like I’m part of a community, much more so than whenever I have attended a gym. Reading the magazine has also given me lots of ideas about new things. Looking forward to exploring more of this yoga
world in 2020!
