The Campus
WINTER ALGARVE YOGA RETREATS AT THE CAMPUS CURATED FOR MIND, BODY AND SOUL
The Campus at Quinta do Lago in Portugal, will be holding a six night, five-day yoga and wellness retreat from November 15-21, 2020.
Daily morning Vinyasa Flow and gentle evening yoga practices, coupled with meditations on the beach, will ensure you leave the beautiful Algarve feeling relaxed and renewed, with a dose of restorative winter sunshine thrown in too.
Just 15 minutes from Faro airport, the gateway to the Algarve, The Campus’ world-class facilities appeal to wellness seekers of all levels, from advanced yogis to those looking for a simple mind-body relaxation break.
Stay at The Magnolia Hotel, inspired by Miami’s iconic boutique motels, for six nights full board with daily vegetarian or vegan meals on retreat days.
Alongside the daily yoga and meditation classes, there’s an opportunity to join a trip to the onsite organic Q Farm, followed by an interactive cooking experience with in-house chefs, a choice of massages and holistic therapies including acupuncture, shiatsu and reflexology.
Retreat attendees can also re-connect with nature with guided walks around the UNESCO World Heritage site at Ria Formosa Natural Park. For something more energetic, there are lots of exercise classes available each day from barre fitness to boxfit, or join a group or self guided bike ride around the lake and salt flats. After your workout, unwind at the wellness centre with hydrotherapy, hot and cold plunge baths and other treatments.
And if you can’t make the November retreat, another yoga retreat is planned next year from March 28th to April 3rd, 2021.
For bookings made up to October 15, guests will receive a 10% discount for a minimum of two guests, including a free room upgrade and welcome drink on arrival.

Viva Costa Rica
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM SET TO CONTINUE YOGA AND WELLNESS APPEAL
Costa Rica has long been a popular hang out for the yoga and wellness community — and for good reason. The country has just been recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) for its ongoing efforts in developing and strengthening its sustainable tourism sector.
It is already well known as a leader in all things sustainability: the country produces nearly 99% of its electricity from renewable resources and it is currently home to over 6.5% of the world’s biodiversity. Costa Rica also aims to become one of the first countries to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Skyros staycations
POST-LOCKDOWN YOGA ISLE OF WIGHT GETAWAYS
Skyros holidays is offering a series of ‘staycation’ holidays at The Grange by the Sea in the Isle of Wight. After the 2020 lockdown, escaping across the Solent to a lush, green island in the south of the UK boasting the most hours of sunshine in the UK, does sound appealing. “This is an ideal opportunity for a UK staycation, especially for solo travellers, where you can be sure of a warm welcome and know that all measures have been taken to meet government guidelines, ensuring that you have a safe and enjoyable holiday,” the company states.
Add to this the opportunity to meet likeminded people (albeit socially-distanced!) and the chance to explore your creativity, rethink life’s priorities and enjoy nature and coastline walks, or enjoy Shanklin’s long sandy beach. Choose your masterclass each week, and also enjoy afternoon drop-in classes, with a whole mix of options including yoga, writing, mindfulness, painting, comedy, creativity and more.
