You’ll never walk alone
A new range of Liverpool FC yoga mats, from the Yogi Bare brand, are intended to boost mental health and wellness dialogue in the community
Look away now, Manchester United and Everton fans! Introducing the new range of Liverpool Football Club mats produced by Yogi Bare, the high performance, eco-conscious yoga lifestyle brand.
The exclusive partnership with one of the most historic football clubs in the world is to encourage fans, spectators and the community at large to engage with their mental and physical health by allowing them a practical tool kit for movement and wellbeing.
The ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ Yogi Bare Liverpool FC yoga mat is designed to hold special appeal to the club’s loyal supporters.
From the famous stands of Anfield to the sacred grounding space of the yoga mat, it is intended to echo the sentiment of Liverpool FC’s famous motto — You’ll Never Walk Alone — and allow practitioners time to check in with themselves and with others.
“The power of the words ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ embodies everything I have ever felt about the movement, meditation and yoga space and its capacity to reach out and support mental health,” said Kat Pither, founder and chief executive of Yogi Bare.
“I hope this project kicks off conversations around male mental health and supporting young academy players by using the community spirit of football and coming together to watch the beautiful game and the way we come together to move in yoga.”
Every fan wants to represent their team and wear their badge with pride. This yoga mat features ultimate surface performance grip and a non-slip natural rubber base. The laser-cut Liverpool FC logo is centred in the middle of the mat alongside alignment points to assist with balance, positioning and form.
It also forms part of a broader community project: from each mat sold, £10 is to be donated to the LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity, which supports those most in need in the community.
“If yoga literally translates as union and community, then we are so proud to work together with Liverpool FC — my childhood dream come true,” said Pither. “Liverpool means more and so does this collaboration.”
